Principal's Message

Hello Aurora High School Students and Families,

Welcome et bienvenue to Aurora High School. It is with immense pride and sincere warmth that I welcome you to the Aurora High School community. As principal, I have the distinct privilege of watching our students and staff thrive every single day, and I couldn’t be prouder of the dynamic and dedicated community we’ve built here, one which has a long-standing tradition of academic success, athletic excellence and community engagement throughout its 53 years, serving the town of Aurora.

Our wish is that every single student at our school feels valued and heard, and what sets Aurora High School apart is our commitment to fostering a truly small, supportive community. We intentionally cultivate a close-knit environment where students are not lost in the crowd. Our dedicated staff prioritize getting to know every student—by their unique strengths, interests, and goals. This connection ensures that every young person who walks through our doors is met with a consistent network of guidance, mentorship, and support, where they find the confidence and resources needed to find their success. Il nous est primordial d'équiper nos élèves de sorte qu'une fois le seuil de leurs études secondaires franchi, le succès est à l'accueil.

While we take great care to nurture the spirit of our community, we also challenge our students to excel in every facet of school life:

· Academics: Our commitment to academic excellence offers a rigorous and diverse curriculum that includes French Immersion, Specialist High Skills Major in five areas, supports for High Performance Athletes, students with learning needs, Multiple Language Learners as well as Alternative Programming, challenging all to achieve success and prepare them for life beyond high school.

· Athletics: We celebrate a rich tradition of competitive team and individual athletics, teaching teamwork, discipline, and healthy habits.

· Co-curricular Life: From our diverse clubs to our student councils, there are many ways for students to develop leadership skills, explore new interests, and contribute to our community.

The success of our school is built upon a strong partnership between our students, staff, and families. Please spend some time reviewing the resources found on this website and if you have any questions, concerns, or simply wish to connect, I encourage you to reach out to me at any time.

We eagerly anticipate welcoming you and watching you, Soaring High as an Aurora Eagle in the Aurora High School community.

Sincerely,

Ms. Debbie Linkewich
